Dr. Osborn’s coaching includes:

  • Counteracting feelings of paralysis and powerless
  • Fostering self-awareness and encouraging personal empowerment
  • Helping women realize that their struggles are not signs of weakness or personal pathologies, but natural and understandable responses to oppressive social forces.

In this way, Dr. Osborn’s coaching not only helps women succeed but helps them push back against political cultural and economic forces that work to keep women unsure, accommodating, and deferential.

Simply put, Dr. Osborn’s coaching empowers women to stand up for what is rightfully theirs: an equal seat at the table.

“I want to ensure that every woman gets an equal seat at the table.”

For over a decade, Dr. Osborn has served as a coach and mentor to female entrepreneurs and businesswomen, students, and mothers. Whether working in corporate or university settings or one-on-one, her goal is to help women of all ages reframe past events and reclaim agency in their careers and in their lives.

Women, and those who identify as women, often have distinct and unique experiences shaped by societal norms and structural inequalities. Institutionalized sexism teaches us to be peacemakers and nurturers, to serve and acquiesce, and to say yes as a way of avoiding retribution.

But what we rarely discuss when talking about obstacles to women’s success is the impact of sexual violence.

81% of women in America have experienced sexual violence. And that is just the percentage of cases reported. We can therefore assume that almost all women in America have experienced some form of sexual violence that compromises their ability to believe in themselves, negotiate, and argue directly and forcefully. Instead, too often we fall back into past habits that are counterproductive in present situations.

Dr. Osborn’s coaching sessions are not confessionals, but rather informative, innovative, tactful, and most importantly motivational. She uses her wealth of knowledge—as an educator, advocate, and writer—to enable women to counter the effects of gender training and sexual violence.
